2nd Shift:  Mon - Thur  3:30pm - 2:00pm

The Clean Room Assembler assembles and tests components for the semiconductor industry. Assembly is performed in a clean and controlled environment, in accordance with all work and test instruction. The Clean Room Assembler uses hand tools and written work instructions to certify that all products being assembled will meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read work instructions and follow drawings to understand customer specifications for assembly and testing of components.  Must follow a "copy exact procedure" instructions.
  • Assemble quality components that meet customer specifications and deadlines, without rejection, in a fast paced work environment.
  • Minimal electro-assembly required
  • Self-inspect assemblies in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Follow all quality control requirements and specification.
  • Adhere to clean room protocols for gowning and working in a Class 1000 clean room.
  • Use small hand tools like screwdrivers, torque wrenches and allen wrenches to assemble components.
  • Clean, label, and package components per product specifications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications Required Skills & Experience

  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow written materials including drawings, job instructions, etc.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Class 1000 clean room.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail is a must, good attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands

  • Manual dexterity required to assemble components and effectively utilize basic hand tools.
  • Good vision to read written materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds from waist level to transfer to carts or stands.
  • Ability to sit, stand and kneel regularly for entire shift.  This position is not sedentary.
